Dr. Dane Bagley is certified as a Paragon CRT practitioner.

Paragon CRT or Corneal Refractive Therapy is an exciting alternative to Laser correction, or traditional vision correction like glasses or contact lenses.

Paragon CRT works great for those with mild to moderate amounts of nearsightedness or myopia, with or without small amounts of astigmatism.

With Paragon CRT the patient sleeps with a device, similar to a gas permeable contact lens, that gently molds the cornea overnight.  This corneal change allows the patient to see normally throughout the day without glasses or contact lenses.

Paragon CRT is completely reversible.  If you stop wearing the devices, your vision goes back to normal.

There is still much to be learned about stopping the progression of nearsightedness in children.  Corneal Refractive Therapy does show evidence of stopping the progression of nearsightedness in children.  Much more research will be needed before we will know if this is a permanent change or if it is temporary.  If it can stop the progression completely or partially, and if it works for everyone, or only for select nearsightedness.  But the results at this point are very encouraging.  Most children's nearsightedness seems to stop getting worse, or progresses at a much slower rate.

Paragon CRT is considered safe for any age.  Risks are similar to wearing other types of Contact Lenses.
